SUMMER CAMPS 2022!
Welcome to Summer and Brilliant Labs camps. We will be announcing our FREE in-person & virtual sessions for grades 1+ soon.
This summer youth can learn in-person in various communities across Atlantic Canada. We will also be offering virtual special interest camps that can be accessed from anywhere that has an internet connection. Stay tuned for upcoming camp details.
Morning Virtual Special Interest Camps
Did you know the Sydney Opera House was inspired by an orange peel? Or The Taipei 101 Tower was inspired by a bamboo plant, which stands as a symbol of strength, resilience, and elegance? What else around us can inspire the buildings of tomorrow? Think like an architect using everyday materials to explore new heights!

Space is vast and complex! From the wandering planets to the trillions of stars, this camp will focus on our solar system and beyond. We launch in 10…9…8…, hope to see you there!

Our agents have reports of injustices all over the planet! Animal habitats have fragmented and plastics are piling in the ocean. Your job as an agent is to stop the mayhem from spreading into your community. Do you accept your mission?

Calling all artists! Come and learn new artistic techniques to enhance your skills! This packed week of fun we’ll learn how to paint seascapes, sketch a portrait, design realistic and abstract art, and everything in between. So grab your paintbrush and join us for this ‘state of the art’ camp!

Hello, fellow brainiacs! Math is all around us… if you know where to look! Discover the many ways math influences our everyday lives, and its usefulness in describing the real and the imaginary. Join us and explore our fascinating world under a new lens on this math-tastic journey!

AFTERNOON VIRTUAL SPECIAL INTEREST CAMPS
Do you have a business or invention idea? Do you have a game, app, service, or product you are looking to develop but need help? This camp is for you. Come with your ideas and let us help you make them reality!
Grades 4+

Splash! There is so much we don’t know about the ocean. But one thing’s for sure- it needs our help. Dive with us as we uncover secrets of the oceans, recognize the issues that oceans are facing, and discuss modern solutions to massive problems!

Create solutions to everyday problems using everyday materials in this fun-filled week of hands-on activities!

Have you ever wondered how websites are made? This is your chance to find out! You will get to make a two page website on something you are interested in using the same languages every website is based on, including HTML5 and CSS!
Requirements:
A reasonable computer
An internet connection capable of streaming
Windows 10/11 preferred but not required
Webcam and mic preferred but not required
Install Visual Studio Code (will do together)
Grade 6+

Learn about internet safety and privacy as you learn about the exciting world of cyber security! Learn to protect our computer and network from hackers!
System requirements: Dual core CPU or better; 4GB RAM but 8GB is recommended; At least 2GB of free storage space is required; Keyboard and mouse is required; Windows 10 or Mac OS; Reliable Internet connection; Anydesk software you can download it here!

In Person Summer Camps
Brilliant Labs’ STEAM Camps are provided free-of-charge to nonprofit and youth-serving organizations, community centres, libraries, and municipalities to support youth education and empowerment in Atlantic Canada!
Throughout the summer, Brilliant Labs visits multiple community partners across Atlantic Canada to provide weeklong in person sessions.
